Okay, so I am not a greenhorn to bootcamp itself, but the XTREME is new for me. My work schedule can be demanding just as anyone elses, but I do my best to be there every time I can. Work kept me out on Wednesday morning, but I was bound and determined to make it today (Thursday) even if it meant I would be late to work. Fast forward to this morning. It's raining. It's cold. I have 20 layers of clothes to prevent cold or wet from settling in. (It worked, BTW!) I left class about 15 minutes early in order to not be sooooo late. In my soaking wet clothes I took off to the hospital just as I was. Time was of the essence. Parking was full. Many people in the garage, but I made it rather quickly. I take all my things (including change of clothes) from my car, lock it, and start walking.

Step, JINGLE, Step, JINGLE, Step, JINGLE ...all the way. I had forgotten the bells on my shoe!

It is quiet in the hospitals at 7am and many employees are just waking up. Cool thing was I received a lot of smiles, many curious backwards glances, and one MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thanks Julia!

The adventure of the bells continues...

Last night my bells got a workout they could not believe. AND they got to meet others just like them at the Rudolph's Red Nose Run. Tethered to shoes, tied around necks of dogs, fashioned around the wrist...they all have one thing in common, the spirit of the season. While the 5K kicked my butt and felt good, a great time was had by all. XTREME has prepared me to go out in the cold and get a sweat on.

Hoo Hah!
